Job Description:

The DePaul College Prep Social Studies Department seeks an experienced collaborative energetic and positive educator to teachAlgebra 2 Honors and Intro to College Algebra. The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with the following characteristics:

• Experience with a wide range of instructional strategies that are tailored to meet the needs and strengths of each student;
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive relationships with students;
• Willingness to work with a team of teachers to develop and present engaging student-centered lessons and assessments;
• Incorporate various modes of technology into lesson plans;
• Proactive in maintaining open communication with parents counselors deans learning specialists and other staff;
• Dedicated to being a lifelong learner in the art and science of teaching young adults;
• Values and seeks to understand the cultural and social identities of each student and is dedicated to their academic social- emotional and spiritual growth;

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree plus active Illinois PEL

MA/MS in the content area or MEd. is preferred
