Logistics Loading Dock Coordinator

In this role you will report to the Site Manager and will work closely with the Avantors Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly pay range: $26.00 - $28.00

Avantors Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma pharmaceutical educational industrial and high-tech industries with customizable flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

Shipping & Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare package and process domestic and international shipments in accordance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.

• Support Dangerous Goods classification activities utilizing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and regulatory guidance.

• Generate verify and maintain shipping documentation including:

• Commercial invoices

• Customs documentation

• Airway bills

• Shipping labels

• Export/import paperwork

• Coordinate shipment schedules with carriers freight providers and cross-functional teams.

• Ensure compliance with SOPs safety standards GMP/GLP requirements and applicable transportation regulations.

• Support issue resolution corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate and prioritize daily shipment and loading dock workflows.

• Support frontline team members in shipment preparation sample handling and documentation activities.

• Provide first-level escalation support for operational issues and shipment delays.

• Monitor adherence to operational procedures quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with inventory warehousing and distribution activities as needed.

• Support audits inspections and compliance-related activities.

Loading Dock Operations

• Perform shipping and receiving activities in a regulated loading dock environment.

• Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Load unload inspect and stage incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Maintain organized and compliant storage areas.

• Ensure proper documentation and traceability for all incoming and outgoing materials.
