Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Product Development and Supply Chain team reporting to our Director of Production. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating purchase orders and inbound logistics activities from PO issuance through delivery of goods to the warehouse. This role will work closely with internal teams vendors freight forwarders and warehouse partners to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution.

This position is primarily based in our Greenpoint Brooklyn office and follows a hybrid schedule dependent on role and business needs.

About the role

  • Issue Purchase Orders and ensure all PO information is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain and update POs including changes to quantities delivery dates shipping details and other key information.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders to coordinate vessel bookings and shipment schedules.
  • Review and approve vessel bookings to ensure alignment with required delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate consolidation of goods across vendors and Purchase Orders to support efficient shipments.
  • Monitor shipment status and key milestones from cargo readiness through vessel departure and final delivery.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of goods into the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate PO shipment and delivery information in company systems.
  • Maintain and publish transit lead-time charts by country and port to support Production planning.
  • Report shipment delays and potential delivery risks to the Production team on a weekly basis.
  • Calculate and publish freight costs by product category and region to support costing budgeting and freight cost management.
  • Proactively identify communicate and escalate potential shipment delays or logistics issues.
  • Partner with Sourcing Production vendors forwarders and warehouse teams to ensure alignment on order and delivery status.

What we are looking for

Skills & Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics supply chain import/export or purchase order management.
  • Experience working with international freight forwarders and coordinating ocean shipments.
  • Strong organizational communication and follow-up skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple POs and shipments simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP or PO management systems.
  • Experience in apparel retail or consumer goods preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer standing bending and kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to access and navigate various department at the organizations facilities.

Pay Transparency & Disclaimer

$27.50 - $33.50 depending on experience skills and qualifications.
