Job Summary
**Availability:**- **Location**: Midland Clinic- **Dates**: - 10/510/9 - 10/15 - 10/2310/25 - 11/211/9 - 11/1611/23 - 11/27 - 11/3012/7 - 12/1412/17
- **Weekend Call**: 1:3 with occasional coverage of 2 weekends per month
**Responsibilities:**-
**Clinical Duties**: - Participate in inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic activities
- Conduct procedures and surgery in catheterization interventional radiology hybrid operating rooms and vascular labs
- Provide week and weekend on-call coverage along with holiday call responsibilities
- Perform vascular testing interpretation

**Orientation & Training**: - One day of orientation - Two days of proctoring at the outset

*Clinic Volume:**- **Patient Encounters**:
- Focus on new and established visit types
- Projected clinic volume for 2025: 5995 patient visits collectively managed by three surgeons
**Clinical Support Structure:**
- **Advanced Practice Providers**: 4 APPs available for support (note: supervision of APPs is not required)
**Technical Proficiencies:**- **Electronic Medical Records (EMR)**: Proficient in using EPIC and Dragon for dictation
**Qualifications:**- **Required Certifications**:
Board Certified (or Board Eligible)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- **Case Log Requirements**:
- Applicants must provide evidence of performing a minimum of 50 major vascular surgical procedures within the last 12 months including at least 7 open aortic cases reflecting the requested privileges
- **Licensure**:
- Will consider candidates with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) agreement or those awaiting licensure in Michigan
**Credentialing Process**: - Expected credentialing timeframe is typically 30 days but may vary based on application prioritization related to the desired start date.
**Language Proficiency**: - Proficient in English (native or bilingual)
**Candidate Evaluation Criteria**:- Demonstrated fulfillment of job requirements
- Verification of board certification or legitimate board eligibility
- Clean results from internet and OIG background checks
- Must possess an active Michigan license or IMLC certification
