Location: San Diego CA. This is a fully on-site position in downtown San Diego with free parking provided.

Note: Candidates must have a paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification 2 years of civil litigation paralegal experience and hands-on experience working with local San Diego courts. A four-year degree is preferred.

Job Description

• Support attorneys through all stages of civil litigation from case opening through discovery depositions hearings and trial
• Draft prepare proofread and file pleadings motions discovery materials and other legal documents
• Manage document productions and assist with drafting and responding to written discovery
• Review organize summarize and maintain case documents and evidence
• Prepare deposition page and line summaries and organize materials for attorney review
• Maintain litigation calendars court deadlines hearing dates and case schedules
• Coordinate depositions hearings meetings and trials with clients opposing counsel experts and court personnel
• Conduct factual investigations and gather relevant case information
• Prepare witness lists exhibit lists trial materials and other litigation support documents
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files

Qualifications

• 2 years of civil litigation paralegal experience
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification required
• Experience with San Diego courts and local filing procedures required
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures court rules discovery and filing requirements
• Excellent organization proofreading written communication and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a litigation environment
