Location: Walnut Creek California. This is an on-site opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working closely with colleagues and clients in a professional office environment in the East Bay.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to the California Bar and have at least 4 years of directly relevant civil litigation experience.

Job Description

• Manage civil litigation matters through multiple stages of the litigation lifecycle.
• Develop case strategy evaluate claims and defenses and help drive matters toward successful resolution.
• Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery requests responses and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings mediations settlement negotiations and other proceedings.
• Work directly with clients to understand objectives provide strategic guidance and communicate case developments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear persuasive written analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently managing deadlines and priorities.
• Negotiate practical resolutions while remaining prepared to advocate aggressively when litigation requires it.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.
• 4 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong litigation writing research analytical and case management skills.
• Experience handling discovery motions depositions and litigation strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters deadlines and client priorities.
• Professional responsive organized and comfortable taking ownership of cases.
