Location:This is a full-time hybrid opportunity based in Bastrop Texas offering flexibility while keeping you connected to the legal team and clients.

Note:An active Texas Bar license in good standing is required. Candidates must have 5 years of directly relevant litigation experience and be able to independently handle substantive litigation responsibilities.

Job Description

• Handle litigation matters involving business property contract and related disputes.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Draft pleadings motions discovery requests and responses briefs correspondence and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies and work closely with Partners on complex and high-value matters.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Represent clients in court proceedings hearings and other litigation-related matters.
• Manage case files deadlines and litigation activity from inception through resolution.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively with clients opposing counsel courts and other involved parties.
• Monitor developments in Texas law including the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
• Maintain approximately 7 billable hours per day.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license and current good standing required.
• 5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research writing and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality litigation documents.
• Strong negotiation communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Experience with business and/or property litigation strongly preferred.
