Linux Systems Administrator II

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator II to perform system administration functions in support of a critical mission based in Fort Meade MD. This role provides the opportunity to support enterprise infrastructure enhance system reliability and contribute to secure mission focused operations. Responsibilities:

Perform daytoday Linux system administration tasks across enterprise environments.
Deploy configure secure and maintain Linux servers and associated services.
Monitor patch and upgrade Linux servers and networkconnected resources (routers switches firewalls).
Maintain and upgrade virtualized environments including VMs and underlying hardware resources.
Implement and support security compliance controls and document nonapplicable items as required.
Assist with installation configuration and integration of new or replacement Linuxbased hardware and software.
Integrate hardware/software solutions into existing network infrastructure.
Support the decommissioning and removal of outdated or replaced systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of system inventory changes and configuration updates.

Qualifications:

Required:

Proficient with Linux including handson experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Minimum of three (3) years of recent Linux system administration experience (within the last 3 years).
Experience patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.
Virtualization/VM experience.
COMPTIA Security certification.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Ten (10) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required.

Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree.

Desired:

Should have working knowledge able to use and/or support with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools:

Dell and HPE Linux servers; Juniper and Cisco routers switches and firewalls; Palo Alto firewalls; Ansible; Nutanix VM management; Rubrik data storage; Nomad containers; SALT scripts; LibreNMS; NetBox.
CSP (Cloud Service Provider) AWS and/or Azure.
