Line Cook- Upscale Senior Dining (Glenaire)

Glenaire is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team! If you enjoy preparing great food working with a strong team and taking pride in what comes out of your kitchen wed love to meet you. Pay starting at $18.50/hour.

At Glenaire youll prepare fresh high-quality meals for our residents in a professional kitchen environment where consistency teamwork and service matter.

This is a full-time 40-hour-per-week position. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays.

• Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and production schedules
• Work the hot line while ensuring food is cooked properly served at the correct temperature and presented attractively
• Taste and check prepared foods for quality and consistency
• Follow safe food-handling sanitation and storage procedures
• Keep workstations refrigerators storage areas and kitchen equipment clean and organized
• Properly operate and care for kitchen equipment
• Assist with food production planning receiving inventory and supplies as needed
• Communicate equipment or maintenance concerns promptly
• Work closely with chefs and other culinary team members to provide excellent service
• Maintain a clean safe professional kitchen environment

• At least 2 years of general cooking experience OR 1 year of institutional/high-volume cooking experience
• Experience working on a kitchen line
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and safe food-handling practices
• Ability to follow recipes and produce consistent high-quality food
• Dependable organized and able to work well as part of a team
• Strong attention to quality cleanliness and food safety
• Ability to read write speak and understand English
• Availability to work weekends holidays and varying shifts as needed
• Experience with therapeutic diets is a plus
