We are searching for caring detailed and respectful people to join our team as Life Enrichment Coaches (LECs). This position is on the front lines working directly in the homes of adults with developmental disabilities. You will work with the clients on their goals listed within their structured support plans assist clients with activities of daily living (i.e.. cooking cleaning personal care & hygiene) take them to appointments and other necessary outings and help them achieve independence.

Job Title: Life Enrichment Coach
Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary
The primary role of the Life Enrichment Coach (LEC) is to encourage personal growth through goal-based support as well as providing daily living support to KIM clients in their home and in the community. LECs will strive to motivate and encourage clients toward their goals reflecting the Residential Service Guidelines. The pay range is $17.50 - $18.50 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Acknowledge and advocate for the needs wants and rights of clients with dignity and respect.
Teach useful emotional and behavioral regulation techniques.
Identify areas of change that clients on their caseload would like to achieve.
Collaborate with clients to develop action plans that center on the actualization of their stated ambitions.
Evaluate clients advancement toward goal actualization.
Encourage continued and sustainable progress.
Evaluate clients advancement toward goal actualization.
Help clients achieve goals by suggesting different actions necessary to take control of future plans.
Coordinate individualized programs for clients and document activity thoroughly.
Assist with client money management such as petty cash receipts checkbook and EBTs.
Supervise clients to ensure adequate safety.
Keep all hazardous materials medications the designated secured location.
Implement a safe and clean environment in which our clients live.
Report promptly instances of injuries behaviors abuse and safety hazards etc. to management following the Chain of Command.
Ensure adequate health care for each client.
Ensure clients have access to regular meals.
Transport and accompany clients to and from all agency outings activities and health appointments and/or arrange transportation services as appropriate.
Provide appropriate documentation for each appointment to management in a timely manner.
Communicate with medical offices and pharmacies.
Administer medications to clients and document accordingly.
Assist client with daily hygiene as outlined in care plans including personal care such as brushing teeth bathing hair washing toileting etc. (if applicable).
Maintain client confidentially.
Maintain appropriate staff/client relationships.
Safeguard all company and client property.
Maintain an ongoing inventory of clients personal property.
Complete all forms reports and data sheets for caseload.
Be aware and abide by all agency policies procedures and practices.
Maintain open communication with supervisor and management team to report any concerns with clients scheduling and/or other staff.
Report to work on time.
Remain awake and alert while on duty.
Abstain from partaking of or possessing any illegal drugs or alcohol while on duty.
Perform other responsibilities as defined by management.
Education and Experience
Minimum age of 18 years.
Current criminal background check cleared by DSHS before working alone unsupervised with the clients.
Valid drivers license or Washington State ID.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to follow instructions organize and set priorities and the ability to work well with other staff and clients exhibit job-related competency and ability to make independent judgments.
Intermediate experience supporting developmentally disabled adults.

Knowledge and Abilities
Language Skills: Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills required. For example: ability to read analyze and interpret documents reports technical specifications governmental regulations and correspondence. Ability to apply proper grammar spelling punctuation and format to communications. Ability to present information in one-on-one small group and large group situations to management and staff.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to do simple math such as addition subtraction multiplication. Know how to handle cash and keep a running balance of cash on hand.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve a wide range of practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and complex variables; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form; and ability to deal with multiple variables.
Computer Skills: Ability to operate related computer applications (i.e. word processing and spreadsheet applications) and business equipment including personal computer copy machine fax machine and telephone.
Physical Demands
Talking: Able to convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately loudly or quickly.
Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Finger Dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing picking up small objects or pinching fingers together.
Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists hands and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities: Average ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
Physical Strength: Frequently required to sit stand and walk and occasionally required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Your Work Place
Internally work is normally performed in a home setting where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold poor ventilation and fumes are very limited. Noise level is moderate and may include sounds of normal household equipment (furnaces telephones etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in the normal performance of job duties.
