Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice.
Assist with patient admissions discharges assessments and care planning.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the RN.
Participate in bedside shift reports patient rounding and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Reinforce patient and family education.
Delegate and support patient care activities for unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies and procedures.
Complete competencies certifications and ongoing education.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and department goals.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Current LPN license in the state of practice.
New graduates and experienced LPNs encouraged to apply.
Strong communication teamwork and patient care skills.
Certifications
BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
IV Certification upon hire or within 3 months of hire based on department requirements.
Additional certifications (ACLS PALS PEARS S.T.A.B.L.E. or other unit-specific certifications) may be based on assignment.
