Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a home health care setting is responsible for providing direct one-on-one care to patients in their homes. This role involves monitoring patient health administering treatments managing medications and offering essential support to patients with various medical needs. Collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals including Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians is required to deliver high-quality compassionate care that improves patient well-being.

Anticipated Status/Shift:

Part-Time (24 hours/week)

Night Shift (12AM-8AM)

Position Location:

Sentara Hospice Services - South Boston VA (travel can include up to a 50-mile radius for position)

Position Requirements:

Education

  • Trade School Graduate for Nursing (Required)

Certification/Licensure

  • LPN License in state of practice (VA) (Required)
  • BLS (Required within 90 days)

Experience

  • 2 years experience (Required)
  • Prior hospice experience (Strongly preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $28.57 - $43.04 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials standby/on-call pay overtime shift premiums extra-shift incentives or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications experience location market conditions and business needs.
