• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures wear required PPE exercise stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe and immediately report all incidents accidents or safety concerns to a supervisor
• Prepare vessels and other Smith Industries products for painting and touch-up
• Perform surface preparation including sanding cleaning inspecting masking and taping
• Prepare products for painting by blowing down with air wiping with thinner and cleaning surfaces as required
• Perform touch-up painting to correct imperfections and ensure product quality
• Safely use small hand tools and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

• Prior experience in industrial painting or paint preparation preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and surface preparation techniques
• Commitment to safe work practices and hazard recognition (JSA experience a plus)
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
