Title: Learning Specialist - Professional Tutor

Position Summary

This is a part-time position in the Roxbury Community College Learning Center. This individual will work closely with the Coordinator of Academic Support and MAIPSEI and will directly report to the Senior Associate Dean of Students. The Learning Center is seeking general applicants who can provide supplemental instruction in the following subject areas. This list is not exhaustive:

In addition to providing supplemental instruction in a specialized area all Professional Tutors are expected to:

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have Bachelors Degree or higher in subject area
  • Must have good study habits
  • Must have excellent computer literacy skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in a multilingual and diverse community a plus

Preferred

  • Masters degree in relevant field
  • Spanish or Haitian Creole
  • Experience working with adult learners
