What Youll Do:
Under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager the Learning and Development Assistant provides administrative logistical and instructional support for Alexander Youth Networks employee learning and development activities. Primary responsibilities include managing employee training profiles and records in the agencys Learning Management System (LMS) maintaining audit-ready documentation supporting new-hire orientation and serving as a primary point of contact for the Learning and Development Department.
The L&D Assistant plays an active role in preparing for supporting and closing out new-hire orientation sessions. This includes coordinating training materials classroom supplies participant documentation equipment attendance records certificates and other logistical needs before during and after orientation.
The L&D Assistant is required to obtain and maintain agency-approved certifications in Handle With Care and CPR/First Aid. Within the scope permitted by each certification the L&D Assistant serves as a certified co-instructor or instructional assistant to the L&D Mentor or another authorized lead trainer. This support helps the agency maintain required instructor-to-participant ratios provide appropriate supervision during skills practice and ensure employees have a safe and effective learning experience.
As a primary point of contact for Learning and Development inquiries and a visible member of the orientation team the L&D Assistant must demonstrate excellent customer service communication organization attention to detail professionalism and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent or bachelors degree in business human resources organizational development psychology education or a related field preferred.
- At least two years of administrative or program-support experience required preferably in behavioral health healthcare human resources education training or a related environment.
- Experience coordinating classes orientations meetings or events preferred.
- Experience using a learning management system or electronic records system preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and Teams.
