Through minority equity investments and collaboration with leading entrepreneurs scientists and innovators Leaps aims to help shift key paradigms in healthcare and agriculture and bring breakthrough technologies closer to impact.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Join the Leaps Crop Science team as part of a focused internship program designed for MBA and PhD candidates.

• Work with a highperforming team of MBAs PhDs and technologists focused on new ways of conducting business engaging customers modernizing platforms and applying data and analytics;
• Couple business opportunities with breakthrough technologies to help identify unique opportunities within the organization;
• Report to the Head of Leaps by Bayer and work closely with and under the VP of Venture Investments;
• Complete two discrete highvisibility projects focused on leveraging existing Bayer Crop Science assets across emerging fields including digital biotech chemistry and agronomy;
• Identify new investment opportunities and present findings to a panel of senior leadership at the end of the summer.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks candidates who possess the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an MBA or graduate degree program with emphasis in strategy finance agronomy biology or chemistry;
• Indepth study or experience with biology chemistry agronomy foodtech and/or digital agriculture;
• Ability to build financial models and pro forma capitalization tables map resources assess risks and evaluate operational implications for agriculture businesses;
• Ability to compare current and future competitors;
• At least two years of experience with strategic planning market research financial modeling or portfolio management;
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and training;
• Demonstrated ability to reduce complex concepts and put innovation ideas into practice;
• Resultsoriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency;
• Excellent written verbal and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong ability to influence and motivate people through formal and informal channels;
• Experience working in a financial investment institution such as venture capital or private equity;
• At least two years of additional experience in relevant strategic financial or innovationfocused roles (as specified in the full job description).
