Sheridan Pet Care is a locally owned and intentionally independent small animal practice dedicated to providing compassionate relationship-centered care for dogs and cats throughout every stage of life.

Our services include:

• Surgery
• Advanced dentistry with full-mouth dental radiographs
• Internal medicine
• In-house laboratory and pharmacy
• Preventive care
• House-call appointments

Were actively pursuing AAHA accreditation and Fear Free certification and we believe excellent medicine starts with an engaged team that genuinely enjoys working together.

As our Lead Veterinary Technician youll be much more than the person running treatments.

Youll become a trusted clinical partner to the practice owner helping establish medical standards train the team improve workflows and create an environment where both patients and employees thrive.

What Youll Do

Lead Exceptional Patient Care

• Assist with appointments surgery anesthesia dentistry diagnostics and nursing care
• Ensure high standards of patient safety and medical quality
• Promote Fear Free low-stress patient handling
• Help continually improve patient care protocols and clinical efficiency

Build an Outstanding Technician Team

• Train and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians
• Help develop onboarding and clinical training programs
• Coach team members with patience encouragement and accountability
• Foster confidence and growth in others

Partner in Building the Hospital

• Collaborate directly with the practice owner on workflow improvements
• Help develop standard operating procedures and best practices
• Support inventory management and equipment maintenance
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional medicine
• Serve as a positive leader who helps create a culture people are excited to be part of

Who You Are

Youre an experienced technician who loves veterinary medicine and helping your team thrive.

You enjoy teaching. You naturally encourage teammates. You believe great medicine happens when everyone is working together toward the same goal.

You might be the perfect fit if you:

• Have several years of veterinary technician experience (credentialed technicians strongly preferred)
• Love anesthesia surgery dentistry and patient nursing
• Have experience training or mentoring team members
• Are passionate about quality medicine and continuous improvement
• Enjoy building systems rather than simply following them
• Communicate with kindness professionalism and honesty
• Stay calm under pressure and help others do the same
• Take pride in creating a positive supportive work environment

Leadership experience is wonderful but were equally interested in experienced technicians who are ready to take the next step.
