Job Description:

This technical-lead role provides Space Vehicle bus integration and test leadership for Moog buses. The lead is the primary technical coordinator for bus and TT&C suppliers directs Bus environmental verification test readiness and execution and integrates bus-level requirements interfaces verification and anomaly resolution across the development integration and production lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead SV-bus I&T planning and execution across electrical power attitude control TT&C C&DH and other bus-to-payload/system interfaces.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for bus and TT&C suppliers; establish technical baselines flow down requirements resolve interface issues and contribute to supplier and program technical reviews.
  • Coordinate Bus environmental verification test readiness integration test procedures readiness reviews test-data disposition and closure of verification evidence.
  • Maintain requirements interface and verification traceability; assess impacts of changes across bus payload ground and mission interfaces.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of anomalies nonconformances and technical risks including root-cause/corrective-action closure and lessons learned.
  • Partner with systems engineering hardware software quality manufacturing and operations teams to transition bus capabilities through first-unit build development test integration and production.
  • Communicate technical status decisions risks and recovery plans to program leadership and customers; mentor engineers in disciplined I&T execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in space-vehicle bus systems engineering integration and test including technical ownership of subsystem and system interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of SV bus subsystems such as electrical power attitude control TT&C C&DH structures thermal and avionics with the ability to resolve cross-domain interface issues.
  • Experience with requirements development and flowdown interface management verification planning and execution test readiness and test-data review in a hardware development program.
  • Experience leading or coordinating suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams through technical decisions anomaly resolution and corrective actions.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access as required

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with DOORS RVTM or comparable requirements and verification-traceability tools.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering SysML or architecture models used to manage SV interfaces.
  • Experience coordinating environmental development qualification acceptance or production test for space-vehicle hardware.
  • Experience preparing for and conducting system supplier test-readiness and flight-readiness reviews.
  • Experience with supplier technical management failure review root-cause/corrective-action methods and risk-recovery planning.
