WCD Louisville is looking to fill an opening for a Lead Service Technician position. The role is responsible is to assist the Facility Manager and/or Assistant Facility Manager in executing and maintaining a maintenance program that ensures the proper maintenance of the production equipment and facility. Operate as part of a team with the goal of meeting downtime and efficiency targets.

• High School diploma GED equivalent or Vocational School Degree required;

• A minimum of 5 years general maintenance experience required;

• Knowledge/experience in repairing and troubleshooting high speed automated production equipment HVAC (Heating ventilation and air conditioning) and industrial electrical circuits;

• Knowledge in Operating electronic software and Ammonia refrigeration basics;

• Computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office programs.

• Perform the work outlined in work orders and the preventative maintenance program as assigned by the Service Supervisor;

• Write work orders when problems are found with facility or processing equipment;

• Evaluate and resolve problems on production and facility equipment during production and non-production hours while ensuring food safety;

• Assist the Facility Manager and/or Assistant Facility Manager in updating and posting the data and information on the maintenance software to keep work orders spare parts inventory vendor lists and the preventative maintenance program current;

• Assist the Facility Manager in ordering and receiving parts;

• Supervise and train second shift Service Technician;

• Perform the basic duties of the Facility Manager or Assistant Facility Manager in their absence;

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Prolong periods of standing 50% and sitting 50%;

• Occasional bending twisting reaching lifting pulling pushing and climbing; ability to lift 50 pounds; and

• Ability to wear hearing protection and safety glasses occasionally.
