We are looking for atalentedLeadMechanicalEngineerto join ourfacilitiesengineering team inourDecatur TXgraphite production facility.Youwill be responsible for designingimprovinginstallingand increasingthe reliability of new and existing bulk handling equipment such as blendersmixersconveyorsdust collectorsas well asheat andmass transfer equipment such asenvironmentalscrubbersgasand electric-firedfurnaces CVD reactorsandcooling towers.If you are looking for anew challengeand an environment thatfosterscollaboration andgrowth opportunitiessearchno further!

In this roleyou will:

• Design commission and qualify production lines with bulk processing equipment andheat andmass transfer equipment that converts petroleum coke into premium graphite;

• Develop metricsby equipmentand conduct root cause analysisto improve reliability of existing and new production equipment;

• Partner withinternal andexternalengineering and analytical teams to designand install production equipment and plant systems;

• Analyze capacity and justify capacity additions based on future business levels;

• Troubleshoot equipment issuesusing the 8D Problem Solving methodology and lean techniques.

Traits webelieve make a strong candidate:

• B.S. degree inMechanicalEngineering(or related field)plus 15years relevant experience; or a M.S. degree and10yearsofexperiencepreferred.

• Experience in designing andinstallingbulk processing equipmentand plant infrastructureequipment

• Experience using lean methodologies to conduct root cause analysis and improving reliability of equipment

• Strong communication ability and experience collaborating with cross-functional teamswith outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Experiencein 2D and 3D CAD systems such as DraftSight and SolidWorksetc.

Your success will be measuredby:

• Ability to work on multiple projects and complete them on time and within budget while coordinating with cross functional teams.

• Improvement in the reliability of current and new equipment thatareused for bulk manufacturing andpost-production

• Ability to work independently but also mentor junior employees

• Compensation: $119500- $149000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
