Lead Data Scientist
Job Summary
The Lead Data Scientist will lead high-priority projects collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership and mentor other data scientists. The ideal candidate can take complex data and translate it into clear meaningful recommendations that business and executive stakeholders can understand and act on.
Lead complex high-impact data science projects.
Develop and maintain data models algorithms and predictive analytics solutions.
Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends patterns and business opportunities.
Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
Translate complex analysis into clear actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders including senior and executive leadership.
Identify and resolve data quality and process issues.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other data scientists.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and data-driven decision making.
Evaluate data science tools technologies and vendors as needed.

Bachelors degree or higher in Data Science Computer Science Mathematics Statistics Engineering or a related STEM field.
7 years of professional data science experience.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and database management.
Strong programming and statistical analysis skills.
Experience with machine learning predictive modeling regression clustering forecasting and statistical testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present complex data and insights to senior and executive-level leaders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment particularly medical informatics healthcare IT revenue cycle/financial data or Electronic Health Record (EHR) data management is highly preferred.
