Job Description Summary
The Lead Controls & HMI Systems Engineer will be responsible for working with cross-functional product teams to design implement and maintain HMI hardware and configuration standards for GE Vernovas customer-facing platforms. This role will work with technical leaders system architects and principal engineers supporting next generations developments that support critical customer infrastructure in the virtualization networking and cyber security initiatives. Engagement will span the full lifecycle of product development supporting secure next-generation deployments for both new units and aftermarket service offerings

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Technical Leaders System Architects and Principal Engineers to develop test plans around new human machine interface platforms to meet performance and stability requirements.
  • Execute test plans that may include detailed performance studies for new hardware and software releases and create reports for reviews with the Controlled Title Holder community.
  • Partner with Requisition and OTR (Order-to-Remittance) engineers as well as external customers to resolve technical support issues and translate field feedback into actionable product and process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technologies that could have a positive impact on customer operations in a power generation capacity.
  • Work with product line to lay out budget needs and timelines for inclusion of HMI platform enhancements into the gas power controls products.
  • Serve as a member in the Scaled Agile Framework defining the handoff scope in terms of features stories and tasks meeting milestone dates as laid out by the product owner to meet product testing requirements.
  • Coordinate with the NPI to Fulfillment handoff team to create training materials for domestic and global fulfillment teams on new product developments.
  • Manage multiple product developments concurrently.
  • Maintain & continuously update technical skills and knowledge

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM major (Science Technology Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering

  • Knowledge of the Gas Power Controls NPI processes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $98400.00 and $164000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
