Lead Building Engineer

Pay: $42/hour
Schedule: MondayFriday Day Shift
Location: Kansas City KS

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Building Engineer to oversee building operations maintenance and troubleshooting across commercial/industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background HVAC experience BAS knowledge and the ability to support multiple buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including equipment and systems operating at 480V.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot commercial/industrial HVAC systems.

  • Monitor and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS).

  • Support building mechanical electrical HVAC and general facility systems.

  • Provide maintenance support across multiple buildings as needed.

  • Respond to facility issues and emergencies including scheduled weekend on-call coverage.

  • Travel locally between nearby facilities when needed to provide maintenance support.

  • Maintain a safe clean and compliant work environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong electrical maintenance background with experience working on 480V systems.

  • Minimum 1 year of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.

  • Experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

  • Universal EPA Certification required.

  • Experience supporting multiple commercial/industrial buildings or facilities.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of building operations.

  • Must be willing to participate in weekend on-call rotation.

  • Must be willing to travel locally between nearby buildings.

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.

Compensation & Schedule
  • $42/hour

  • MondayFriday day shift

  • Weekend on-call availability required

  • Local travel between facilities as needed

  • Mileage reimbursement provided when using a personal vehicle for work-related travel
