Our AV team works on commercial projects utilizing industry-leading technology including Crestron Extron AMX audio DSP systems displays projection conferencing control systems and integrated audiovisual solutions.

We are growing our Dallas AV team and are looking for an experienced Audio Visual Technician / Lead AV Technician who is ready to take ownership of installations troubleshoot complex systems and help deliver high-quality projects for our customers.

The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the installation testing troubleshooting and completion of commercial audiovisual systems. This position works closely with Project Managers field teams general contractors subcontractors vendors and customers to ensure projects are completed safely on schedule and according to Electra Links quality standards.

Experienced technicians may also serve as the lead technician on assigned projects and coordinate daily field activities.

• Install and complete commercial audiovisual systems and equipment.
• Take ownership of assigned AV installations from mobilization through project completion.
• Read and interpret construction drawings AV system drawings signal-flow diagrams and project documentation.
• Install terminate label dress and test AV and low-voltage cabling.
• Perform equipment installation rack build-out cable lacing soldering crimping and terminations.
• Test completed systems for both engineering specifications and operational functionality.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment cabling signal-flow and system-performance issues.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding project progress manpower needs scheduling materials and potential issues.
• Serve as an on-site point of contact for customers and other project partners when assigned as the project lead.
• Maintain Electra Links standards for quality professionalism jobsite organization and customer service.
• Follow all Electra Link and customer safety requirements.
• Assist with training and providing direction to less-experienced technicians when needed.

• 5 years of commercial audiovisual installation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial AV systems and installation practices.
• Ability to independently read and implement AV construction drawings and signal-flow diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High standards of workmanship in cabling equipment installation lacing soldering crimping and termination.
• Ability to fully test installed systems and identify installation or operational issues.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with project and field teams.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Structured/network cabling experience is a plus.
• AVIXA CTS certification is a plus.
• Experience or manufacturer certifications involving Crestron Extron AMX or Audio DSP systems are highly desirable.
