Job Summary

KBR is seeking a Logistics Warehouseman - Food Service for a temporary assignment located in Dona Ana New Mexico. Projected assignment dates are September 15 2026 through November 15 2026 but could be subject to change. This position requires a commitment of approximately 70 hours per week and supports military dining facility operations in a fast-paced mission-driven environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Logistics Warehouseman - Food Service is responsible for supporting military dining facility (DFAC) operations through the receipt inspection storage inventory control and distribution of food service supplies and rations. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the food supply chain while ensuring compliance with military food service safety and storage requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receive verify and issue rations and food service supplies in accordance with established procedures and receiving documentation.
  • Utilize Temperature Measuring Devices (TMDs) to ensure proper temperature control and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Receive and process deliveries from Class I ration trucks and maintain accurate accountability of inventory.
  • Operate company vehicles including large box trucks to transport food service items and supplies.
  • Issue rations using DA Form 3161 and maintain accurate inventory storage and accountability records.
  • Ensure proper receipt storage stock rotation and issuance of food items using FIFO and other prescribed food handling procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain required reports records and document files related to warehouse and food service operations.
  • Coordinate the movement staging and distribution of materials and equipment in support of dining facility operations.
  • Assist with work site organization housekeeping and sanitation activities to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform moderate to heavy lifting and physically demanding warehouse duties as required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education Experience Skills and Certifications)

  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented relevant experience in food service warehouse supply or military dining facility operations.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations and publications including DA PAM 30-22 and FM 10-23.
  • Familiarity with military food service regulations and policies including the Tri-Service Food Code (TB MED 530) governing food storage handling and sanitation.
  • Proficiency in receiving rations and supplies and verifying shipments against receiving documentation.
  • Ability to manage shelf-life items and maintain proper stock rotation procedures.
  • Experience processing Cost No-Cost and Production Transfers.
  • Ability to properly store stack palletize stage and issue rations and materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory management storage accountability and property handling procedures.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts is preferred.
  • Possession of a current Food Handler Certificate (minimum 4-hour course) is required.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a ServSafe Certification.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
  • A REAL ID is required for base access. Candidates without a REAL ID must possess a valid U.S. Passport to gain installation access.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education Experience Skills and Certifications)

  • Experience using the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) for inventory management ration ordering menu support and food service accountability.
  • Previous experience working in Class I yard operations including receipt storage and distribution of military rations.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment in a warehouse or military food service environment.
