Juniper Preserve located in Bend OR is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Landscaper! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Status: Full time seasonal
Hourly Rate: $20 - $22
SUMMARY
As a Landscaper you will play an essential role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces at Juniper Preserve. Under the direct supervision of the Landscape Manager and Landscape Supervisor you will perform routine manual labor to support the upkeep enhancement and health of our landscapes and grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The safe and skilled operation of small battery equipment: Hand Tools Blowers Rotary Mowers and String Trimmers
- Installation and maintenance of plant material.
- Ensures that at the end of the day the equipment and hand tools are thoroughly cleaned and then stored in its proper location.
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and hand tools.
- Required to wear supplied safety equipment as required: Safety Glasses Earplugs Back Support etc.
- Safely operates a ¾-ton truck and cargo trailer to transport equipment materials and supplies to and from off-site accounts and work locations.
- Reports equipment problems or failures to the supervisor immediately.
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Maintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including but not limited to appearance interaction with members associates guests of the club verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.
- Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Landscape Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Drivers license with clean driving record required
- No special education required.
- Must be able to understand oral instructions.
- Must be able to comprehend topics of a conceptual nature.
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of job related instruction manuals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Drivers license.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily outdoor shifts in all weather conditions from extreme heat to extreme cold.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee will lift/carry 25 pounds frequently and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
