Job Summary
Performs activities related to improving and maintaining University grounds including installation maintenance and care of landscape plants and turfs.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleans maintains and repairs lawn care tools and equipment. Operates equipment such as weed eaters edgers blowers etc.
- Maintains grounds; waters rakes mows prunes trims and edges lawns and shrubbery.
- Maintains work area in a clean neat and orderly manner.
- Picks up and bags litter broken glass and tree limbs.
- Plants shrubs trees flowers and other plants.
- Re-sods or reseeds barren areas.
- Answers questions and provides information to staff faculty students and visitors.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and 6 months of appropriate experience required. Must be able to read and follow written instructions in the proper execution of assigned tasks. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
