Laboratory Technologist Temporary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests and analyses following established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze and review laboratory findings to ensure accuracy reliability and completeness of results.
• Calculate verify and document test results as required.
• Recognize and troubleshoot routine instrument or analyzer malfunctions and escalate issues when necessary.
• Prepare reagents media buffers and other laboratory materials according to prescribed procedures.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities on equipment reagents media and analytical methods.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Enter manage and verify test data within laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or other computerized databases.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations.
• Support laboratory maintenance activities including equipment calibration monitoring and routine upkeep.
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and cross-functional teams to support project and operational objectives.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications :

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements below are representative of the knowledge skill or ability required. 

Education/Experience (BMQ):

• Bachelors in cell biology or biochemistry plus 0 - 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience preferred with cell-based assays required.
• Expertise in multichannel pipetting

Additional preferences:

• Experience with lab automation desired (liquid handlers / plate readers robotics).
• Ability to calculate molarity and generate dose response curves required.

Certificates and/or Licenses (BMQ):

• This position does not require any certificates or licenses.

• Must be detailed orientated and consistent in experimental approach.

• Must be comfortable and experienced working in a commercially focused lab environment.
• Must be a good at multi-tasking.
• Must have very keen attention to detail
