Shift: Day Shift with Call Rotation

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Laboratory Technician / Technologist to perform a variety of laboratory procedures operate automated analyzers evaluate test results and maintain quality standards. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently and across all areas of the laboratory.

Job Qualifications

• Degree in Biology Chemistry or a related field.
• ASCP or equivalent certification.
• Active Montana State Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Knowledge and ability to perform routine laboratory procedures.
• Experience with Microbiology and Immunohematology preferred.
• Experience with computers specialized analyzers and laboratory equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of CLIA HIPAA compliance and laboratory regulations.
• Understanding of laboratory budgeting preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all departments.
• Ability to work productively and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and operate automated laboratory analyzers.
• Evaluate and report test results accurately.
• Perform manual laboratory tests according to established procedures.
• Work competently in all areas of the laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
• Participate in proficiency testing.
• Support facility performance improvement initiatives.
• Work nights andweekendsas part of the workweek when required.
• Provide independent laboratory coverage while on call.
• Follow applicable safety compliance CLIA and HIPAA requirements.
