Job Summary

This position is located in Hunt Valley MD but may involve occasional travel to Miami FL. Working as part of a team of scientists the lab technician will collect samples package label and ship samples for testing. The incumbent will be expected to follow batch record instructions weigh samples assist in sample preparation for ICP-MS analysis update database and perform any other tasks as required. This position works closely with R&D procurement quality process technology and marketing.

Responsibilities:

. Responsible for weighing packaging and labeling samples for shipment per batch record instructions.

. Dissolution and dilution of samples for ICP-MS analysis following standard protocols.

. Inputs data and maintain MS Excel-based database.

. Completes all required documentation neatly accurately and in accordance with GMP.

. Handles samples per GMP and Safety requirements.

. Uses equipment such as pipettors balances and pH meters.

. Promotes a safe work environment.

. Required to follow through on assigned responsibilities and able to function under minimal supervision.

. Responsible for promoting positive team environment through good communications and team engagement.

. May be required to work overtime.

. Position requires up to10% travel.

. Performs other duties as assigned in support of business goals

Qualification Requirements:

. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. BSc in Chemistry is preferred.

. Experience operating and calibrating pH meters.

. Must be able to read write and follow testing and inspection procedures.

. Must be able to maintain neat accurate and complete records and logs.

. Must be able to focus with continuous attention to detail.

. Basic experience in weighing multiple components is required.

. Proficiency in MS Excel MS Word and MS PPT is required.

. Must be able to lift or move approximately 40lbs.
