This laboratory technician will mainly perform bench-level mechanical tests of medical devices while following written test procedures and not requiring constant supervision. Typical work includes hands-on measurement of tension and compression forces on products. Because this is a highly regulated business the technician must also vigilantly comply with procedures typical in a medical device company. The technician must be able to follow detailed technical instructions constantly maintain attention to detail during testing and accurately record and report test data.
Applicants MUST meet the following requirements: Experience with using testing equipment in a laboratory or in QC Able to maintain concentration and attention to detail throughout long test durations Good written and oral communication skills Able to use PC software including Excel
The following are desired: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Biomechanical engineering Experience working in a regulated industry such as automotive or medical device Experience in using mechanical testing machines such as the Instron Knowledge of statistical analysis and Minitab
