Job Summary
The laboratory assistant will work under the direct supervision of Wen Luo PhD. Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. The laboratory assistant will play a key role in conducting experiments analyzing data and contributing to the cutting-edge scientific research in the field of tumor immunology targeted cancer immunotherapy tumor microenvironment and stem cell biology.
. Perform various laboratory techniques including electroporation flow cytometry cytotoxicity drug treatment tissue culture and animal models.
. Conduct primary cell isolation and maintain cell lines.
. Assist in the design and execution of experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
. Assist in the design and execution of experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
. Prepare reports presentations and manuscripts for publication.
Education requirement: Preferred PhD/MS or minimum BS/BA degree in Immunology Molecular Biology Cellular Biology or relevant field.
Technical/computer skills: Preferred proficiency in data analysis using softwares such as Flowjo Word Powerpoint and Excel
Prior experience: Preferred strong knowledge and experience in cellular and molecular immunology and flow cytometry hands-on mouse work including breeding imaging and xenograft
Other skills/requirements: Familiarity with cellular biology and immunology principles and techniques
Physical demands: Physically capable of working full time.
Environmental demands: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
