Assignment Details

This is a short-term one-month assignment in East Hartford Connecticut and is best suited for someone who can quickly step into a laboratory environment and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician for a one-month contract assignment in East Hartford Connecticut. This position will perform routine laboratory testing and support day-to-day laboratory operations using conventional and computerized laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established testing procedures safety requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and other laboratory work according to prescribed procedures and standards
• Conduct routine testing to determine the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of materials and samples
• Prepare handle and organize samples for laboratory testing
• Set up operate readjust and monitor laboratory equipment and instruments
• Utilize both conventional and computerized laboratory equipment and work aids
• Accurately record and document laboratory test results
• Follow established testing methods procedures and quality standards
• Identify unusual test results or equipment issues and communicate them appropriately
• Maintain a clean organized and safe laboratory work environment
• Follow all applicable laboratory safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education in Chemistry Chemical Technology Laboratory Science or a related technical/scientific field preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience may be considered
• Previous experience in a chemical industrial quality control or manufacturing laboratory is preferred
• Experience operating laboratory equipment and instruments
• Comfortable working with computerized laboratory systems and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established testing procedures
• Ability to accurately document testing activities and results
