Lab Lead Lab Technician

Summary:Oversee and assist operations of the lab to ensure the making of eyewear is accurate to prescription ready as promised and meets our 7 Point Quality Check Class and PayPay Class: Full TimePay: $11.86 - $16.01 per hourEssential Responsibilities: General Manager with ensuring all lab associates are trained on all lab equipment and Lab Certification all lab equipment is appropriately calibrated and maintained lens inventory procedures are followed and lab expenses are kept at optimum all job completion requirements according to quality standards emphasizing as promised the General Manager in controlling store level expenses to maximize store profit i.e. lab supplies and training a proper level of lenses and lab supplies to ensure prompt customer service and assist the General Manager in controlling inventory shrinkage through the monitoring and recording of breakage defects exchanges special orders and regular equipment maintenance daily in accordance with maintenance checklists and ensure that all equipment malfunctions are addressed Company guidelines for safety rules hazardous material handling and waste :One (1) five (5) years of related experience requiredOptical preferredHS diploma GED or equivalent related job experienceAdditional Relevant Experience/Education Required:Must demonstrate practical application of optical theory and mathMust meet all Lab Certification requirementsCommunication interpersonal and negotiation be able to read write and communicate in English in order to understand written procedures hazardous warning Requirements:Work changing schedules to meet business demandsWork inside locationStrong organization skillsSpeak clearly and effectivelyCalculate and manipulate numbers/dataRead EnglishProblem solve reason and resolve issues effectivelyMeet customer expectationsWork under stress with interruptions and deadlinesFollow procedures and instructionsUse computer effectively and view computer screenWear protective eyewear and glovesWork with substances which may cause skin irritation and/or noxious fumesExposure to temperature changesBend and stoop continuouslyReach above shoulder continuouslyTraining Requirements (where applicable)Complete all company training requirements within required time framesCross training in all departments as neededEssential Responsibilities related to Physical Demands/Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
