Lab Engineer I, Amazon Leo Antenna Lab

Job Summary
As a Lab Engineer I in the Antenna Development org. you will support development activities for state of the art communication hardware. You will assist in data collection repairs and circuit addition you will support maintenance and calibration of antenna lab equipment. You will use your electronics programming soldering and rework skills to help engineers achieve design objectives. You will work on state of the art phased array antenna boards switching power supplies and high speed data circuits. You will also assist with thermal testing RF testing antenna testing and more.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
Perform phased array antenna repairs (using soldering equipment)
Perform conformal coating repairs
Collect RF/Antenna data and help process the data
Assist with antenna chamber calibration
Train other technicians in advanced repair techniques
- 2 years of software QA testing work with writing the test plans use cases and issue reports experience
- 3 years of consumer electronics lab environments experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Experience in software QA testing including writing test plans use cases and issue reports
- Experience in a consumer electronics lab environment
- Experience in a Linux or Unix environment
- Experience working on a consumer hardware or software product
- Knowledge of Jenkins build environments
- Experience configuring deploying and testing software updates including the ability to identify issues and escalate to development as appropriate
- Experience running user trials beta field testing or collecting customer feedback
- Experience working with hardware and software teams for setting up testing and troubleshooting prototype devices

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
