Lab Engineer 1, OMHS MHE Hardware

We are seeking an experienced Lab Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join our testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various testing equipment transducers data acquisition systems and mechanical assembly capabilities.

Key job responsibilities
Design develop and execute test procedures for mechanical and electromechanical systems
Build modify and maintain test fixtures and equipment
Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test equipment and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability
Participate in the assembly of material handling equipment
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes


- Experience interpreting modifying and developing mechanical and electrical drawings or experience in the mechanical or controls field
- Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities or experience in technical support
- Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience working in a test laboratory environment
- Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools
- Experience with various transducers and data acquisition systems
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

- 3 years of experience in a Lab engineering role
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
- Familiarity with quality management systems
- Experience with CAD software
- Project management experience
- Experience with 5S practices

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
