Job Summary
We are seeking Lab Assistant- Lab General Support to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia CA.
Job Summary:
What Youll Be Doing:
- Maintain laboratory glassware by washing rinsing drying distributing and storing materials
- Clean and disinfect laboratory work areas equipment and workbenches to support compliance and safety standards
- Prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies equipment and other materials for operational readiness
- Label tubes and prepare specimens for laboratory workflows
- Facilitate post-analysis storage sample banking and specimen retrieval activities
- Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance and routine operational checks
- Support inventory management and general organization of laboratory workstations
- Follow safety quality regulatory and 6S requirements while participating in ongoing training and development
What We Are Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require an Associate Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution)
- 6 months of relevant work experience in a regulated laboratory preferred
- Basic knowledge of laboratory safety infection control procedures and hazardous chemical handling
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment instrumentation and terminology
- Other equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
- Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
- Basic computer skills with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Understanding of sterilization decontamination procedures and hazardous waste management
- Knowledge of safe exposure practices related to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequent standing and walking occasional sitting close eye work requirement (computer typing reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role when annualized is $25300.00 - $52700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge skills education and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered incentive plans bonuses and/or other forms of compensation may be offered in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Required Experience:
