Kitchen Steward

Great Circle Catering is a multifaceted catering company that cultivates teamwork individuality creativity and education. We operate a diverse commissary kitchen that caters by land air and sea. Our team gets to be creative and produce a variety of food ranging from fine dining to large-scale production. We are seeking an experienced kitchen steward to join our culinary team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work independently in the dish area cleaning dishes and pans

- Accept food orders and put products away making sure to rotate stock properly

- Help chefs with light food prep

- Work on various assigned cleaning projects

- Comply with all applicable sanitation regulations and safety standards

- Communicate effectively with teammates and GCC leadership

- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients

- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

- 3 years of verifiable work experience

- Attention to detail

- Ability to follow instructions

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills

- Excellent time management skills

- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

- Experience in large-scale production preferred

- Ability to work a flexible schedule

- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain upon hire

- Valid Drivers License

- Reliable transportation

- Must pass a drug screen and background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to lift 50 lbs

- Ability to stand for long periods of time
