SCV Kitchens Inc. is a locally owned commercial kitchen and virtual food hall facility in Valencia California. The company provides purpose built kitchen spaces that support food concepts serving customers through takeout delivery catering and other off premise dining. The facility brings multiple food concepts together with shared operational infrastructure online ordering technology front of house support storage utilities security cleaning grease management and other services.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for keeping kitchen operations organized safe clean and efficient while supporting consistent food preparation and timely order fulfillment. This position works closely with kitchen staff and coordinates daily food preparation ingredient handling equipment use sanitation inventory and incoming orders through the facilitys integrated online ordering platform. The role requires someone who can remain hands on during busy periods while maintaining food quality and safe kitchen practices. SCV Kitchens provides commercial exhaust systems stainless steel preparation workstations gas connections three compartment sinks preparation sinks hand washing sinks cold storage dry storage access and integrated ordering technology that the Kitchen Manager will work around and help maintain during daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen activities and help maintain an organized and efficient workflow
- Coordinate food preparation and order fulfillment according to established recipes and service requirements
- Monitor incoming orders through the integrated online ordering platform and help ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain food quality proper food handling practices sanitation and cleanliness throughout kitchen work areas
- Monitor ingredients and supplies assist with inventory control and communicate replenishment needs
- Train and support kitchen staff on preparation procedures safe equipment use sanitation and daily operating practices
- Coordinate the proper use and care of commercial kitchen equipment workstations sinks storage areas and related facilities
- Communicate with front of house staff regarding order status completed food pickup requirements and operational issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of professional commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Previous experience in a Kitchen Manager Sous Chef Lead Cook or similar food service position preferred
- Working knowledge of food preparation kitchen sanitation food storage and safe food handling practices
- Ability to operate common commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with commercial exhaust systems gas cooking equipment stainless steel workstations refrigeration sinks and food storage areas preferred
- Ability to use tablets online ordering systems and basic computer applications
- Strong organization communication time management and problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced kitchen environment and remain attentive to food quality and order accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front of house personnel
- Food safety certification or food handler certification is preferred
- Ability to follow applicable workplace food safety sanitation and facility procedures
