Job Summary
The Koch Internship Program(KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development leadership training and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nations most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Atlas Network is seeking a Development Intern to help our fundraising team. This position will report directly to the Donor Operations Manager and work closely with other departments to support the organizations fundraising efforts. Atlas Network is a nonprofit that supports free market organizations (think tanks) and individuals across the globe with the potential to champion our vision of a free prosperous and peaceful society.
The Development Intern will be an integral part of Atlas Networks development department assisting with various day-to-day activities and maintaining the integrity of our internal records and database. This position provides the opportunity to work on several high-priority projects. The ideal candidate should be organized have excellent written and spoken communication skills attention to detail ability to meet tight deadlines and an affinity for Atlas Networks mission.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conduct research as needed for current and prospective donors maintaining a high level of data integrity within our database
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the database by ensuring all information is kept current and up-to-date
- Assist the team in preparing donation acknowledgements letters and reports for donors
- Provide support to the Major Gifts Officer and Director of Donor Engagement for fundraising events donor journeys and other projects
- Assist in developing new and creative materials for potential and existing donors
Requirements:
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and other programs in Google Suite
- Experience with CRM databases like Salesforce is strongly preferred but not required
- Demonstrates initiative and motivation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor in person on the phone or via email
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Data and deadline driven with attention to detail
- Interest in Atlas Networks mission and international issues
- A positive attitude!
In addition to the responsibilities listed above Atlas Network interns are able to participate in a variety of professional development programs.
Internship Details:
- Preference to applicants who can regularly be in the Arlington Virginia office
- Position is eligible for a flexible work from home schedule
$5500 - $5500 a year
Stand Together Fellowships pays participants a stipend of either $7500 for full-time participants working approximately 32 hours per week at the partner organization or $5500 for part-time participants working approximately 24 hours per week at the partner organization. Attending the entirety of the online and on-site KIP programming is required for both full and part-time participants.
