K-5 Math Interventionist

Job Summary
To support the districts K- 5 Instructional programs to ensure academic improvement and student success. The focus of the position is on Instructional interventions for struggling students and teacher support.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree preferred)
Valid Texas Teacher Certification appropriate for area assigned
Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation Knowledge of state curriculum and assessments
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Five years experience as a classroom teacher
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works with individual students and student groups to provide effective interventions to improve student performance.
- Support classroom instruction through modeling and mentoring.
- Facilitate campus screening and assist with all other state and local assessments as
- Review student data with classroom teachers and assist in determining appropriate tiered Assist classroom teachers in determining and implementing appropriate tiered
- Serve as a member of the campus RtI
- Work with district Instructional Specialists in the developing and implementing effective intervention
- Assist classroom teacher and Instructional Specialist in the delivery of district-wide instructional
- Confer with principals and district administrators concerning instructional
10. Assist with coordinating campus and district efforts to improve instruction for each child.
