Junior Lab Analyst

Location: Thompson TN 37179
Job Type: Contract - 3 Months Possible Extension
Pay: $20/hour on W2

We are seeking a Junior Lab Analyst to support laboratory testing scientific research and quality control activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience with biological and chemical analysis sample preparation PCR plating methods and laboratory documentation.

• Collect prepare and test laboratory samples.
• Perform biological and chemical analyses according to established procedures.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and accurately document results.
• Perform PCR testing culture plating and anaerobic plating.
• Use Petrifilm and other microbiological testing methods.
• Follow aseptic techniques and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records using Excel Word ELN and LIMS.
• Prepare reports documenting test results observations and conclusions.
• Perform routine laboratory equipment maintenance and safety checks.
• Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment as needed.
• Follow laboratory safety chemical handling and biological risk-control procedures.
• Support compliance with ISO 17025 quality standards.

• Bachelors degree in Biology Chemistry Microbiology or a related field.
• 2-3 years of laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with PCR technologies.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 laboratory standards.
• Experience with Petrifilm culture plating and anaerobic plating methods.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and contamination control.
• Experience with ELN and LIMS systems.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical management.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
