Junior Installation Technician
KeenLogicisseekingto hire aJunior Installation Techniciansupporting theUnited States Senateon a multi-year Information Technology Support program providing essential IT services to ensure continuity of operations across Senate offices. This contract spanssix years beginning March 1 2026(two base years and fouroptionyears) offering long-term stability and growth.
Work will be performedon-site at Senate facilities in Washington DC and other approved Senate locations asrequired. This is a full-time position offering Fortune 500-level health/dental/vision PTO 401k and Life Insurance.
Junior Installation Technicians provideon-site field supportfor Senate offices including hardware installations moves replacements and emergency repairs. This role requires strong technical skills and direct customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a Senate background check and must be eligible for SenateOfficebuilding access
- 2 years of IT field support experience
- Strong customer service skills.
- One of the following certifications: ITIL Security HP AppleMicrosoft
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides on-site technical support at Senate state and field offices including hardware installations returns to stock (RTS) equipment replacements and emergency repair services
- Interfaces directly with Senators staff and authorized users delivering professional customer-focused support in a high-visibility environment
- Installs testsmaintains and repairs equipment integrated systems subsystems and approved software at Senate locationsin accordance withestablished standards
- Assembles installs and configures systems and equipment based on site assessments floor plans schematics and technical documentation
- Performs equipment upgrades relocations and removals ensuring coordination with engineering changes and approved configurations
- Provides instruction to users on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting as appropriate
- Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics toidentifyand resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoots hardware and connectivity issues efficiently to restore service within establishedtimeframes
- Ensuresaccurateasset tagging documentation and inventory updatesin accordance withSenate procedures
- Coordinates with Help Desklogistics and technical teams to support deployments office moves and surge requirements
- Adheres to security safety and compliance requirements while working on-site at Senate facilities
- Maintains awareness of scheduled deployments hardware refresh cycles and emergency response procedures
- Documents installation activities configurations and resolutions in the designated tracking systems
