Job Summary

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a Junior Compliance Analyst to support the firms Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program as part of the client onboarding process. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who enjoys research analysis and problem-solving and is interested in building a career in compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Review New Business Intake submissions and assist with client due diligence reviews.
  • Research and verify client information using public records regulatory sources and third-party databases.
  • Conduct sanctions politically exposed person (PEP) and adverse media screening.
  • Document findings and ensure required due diligence information is complete and accurately recorded.
  • Partner with lawyers business professionals and other teams to gather information and support compliance requirements.
  • Escalate potential compliance concerns and unusual findings for review.
  • Maintain client and compliance records and support departmental projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong research analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based research tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional services legal compliance financial services or research experience is a plus but not required.

Hours

  • Core hours are Monday through Friday either 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. including a one-hour lunch break. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed is required.

In Denver the established annual pay rate for this non-exempt position is $46000 based on a 37.5-hour workweek. Overtime is compensated in accordance with applicable law and firm policy.

This rate reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation which may include annual discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm subject to applicable plan terms and conditions which currently include medical dental and vision insurance; a 401(k)-retirement plan; and paid time off.
