Job Description: The Employment & Training Administration is currently seeking a full-time Job Developer to join their Job Developer will work within the Job Readiness Training Program (JRT) with job seekers/participants and employers to prepare and assist with job seekers are referred by Employment and Training (ETA) staff case managers and the Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS). They are receiving public assistance and have been determined to be employable. Participants are enrolled in the program where workshop preparation online and in-person job search and follow up activities are organized and led by the Job Developer. The role calls for interaction and contacts with employers to inquire about job openings placement opportunities and retention. The essential nature of the work is to assist participants in meeting federal participation work requirements as well as help them to achieve economic independence. Self-starter qualities needed along with maintenance of participant records data entry and case note activities. Organization and computer skills are required. Candidate must have strong counseling skills to motivate clients and to identify and overcome barriers to achieve compliance with ETA program demands using a holistic supportive approach. May include employer and work site visits. This position must be able to travel between the career centers and other sites as needed. Key responsibilities include:
Requirements: Education & Experience Required:Bachelors degree in a related field; or an Associates degree and one (1)year experience working in human services job training job placement human resourceseducation social work or related field;or three (3) years equivalent work experience.
