Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with experience in Python and React to design develop test and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based backend development hands-on experience building applications with Python and proficiency in developing responsive user interfaces using React. Candidate will collaborate with product managers software engineers QA professionals and DevOps teams to deliver secure high-quality and maintainable software solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte NC is$90k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design develop test and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop front-end applications and reusable UI components using .
• Use Python to develop automation scripts backend services data-processing tools or integrations.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Design and optimize databases queries and data models.
• Integrate applications with third-party services and internal systems.
• Write clean efficient reusable and well-documented code.
• Perform unit integration and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support CI/CD pipelines deployments monitoring and production releases.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to system architecture decisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Java
  • Spring Framework/Spring Boot
  • RESTful web services
  • JavaScript or TypeScript
  • HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience withPythonfor application development scripting automation or data processing.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design patterns and software development principles.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL MySQL or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Experience writing unit tests and following test-driven or automated testing practices.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience designing and developing microservices.
• Knowledge of Docker Kubernetes or containerized application deployment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Redis or DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards including OAuth2 and JWT.
• Experience with application monitoring and logging tools.
• Understanding of software security performance optimization and scalability.
• Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
