Janitor

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize factory floors production areas restrooms offices and break rooms

Operate floor scrubbers sweep machines buffers and other industrial cleaning equipment

Sweep mop scrub and remove debris from warehouse and manufacturing areas

Empty trash recycling and industrial waste containers

Clean spills and maintain safe walkways to prevent hazards

Restock restroom and cleaning supplies

Follow all OSHA safety and company sanitation procedures

Assist with cleaning around machinery and equipment during shutdown periods

Remove dust dirt grease and other buildup from surfaces

Report maintenance safety or repair issues to supervisors

Support general facility upkeep and organization

Qualifications

Previous janitorial warehouse or factory cleaning experience preferred

Experience operating floor scrubbers and industrial sweep machines preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift

Comfortable standing bending walking and working around machinery

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Work Environment

Manufacturing and industrial facility setting

Exposure to dust noise machinery and varying temperatures

May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Possible overtime evening or weekend shifts depending on production needs
