IT Systems and Operations Administrator

CharterWest Bank is seeking an experienced self-motivated IT Systems and Operations Administrator to join our Information Technology Department. This hands-on position is responsible for technology administration advanced troubleshooting process improvement and assigned systems services and projects.

With locations throughout Nebraska Iowa and South Dakota CharterWest provides broad exposure to banking technology infrastructure cybersecurity Microsoft 365 vendor systems and project work. The position is well suited for an IT professional who can work independently identify areas needing attention and follow work through to completion.

This position may be based in Omaha Lincoln or West Point Nebraska. Regular onsite work is required with the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement based on performance and business needs.

• Systems and Infrastructure: Administer monitor and troubleshoot networks firewalls switches VPNs wireless networks Active Directory Group Policy DNS DHCP file access endpoints and related Bank technology.

• Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage Exchange Online Teams SharePoint OneDrive Intune Entra ID licensing MFA Conditional Access and related security settings.

• Security and Compliance: Monitor security alerts logs and endpoint protection; assist with access reviews patching vulnerability remediation incident response and regulatory requirements.

• Operations and Support: Provide professional technical support and advanced troubleshooting for users applications systems access and connectivity.

• Vendor and Project Management: Coordinate vendor support manage assigned cases and participate in upgrades implementations technology rollouts and infrastructure improvements.

• Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues process gaps security risks and opportunities to improve the reliability efficiency and use of existing technology.

• Documentation and Communication: Maintain procedures inventories diagrams and system documentation and communicate technical information clearly to employees.

• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work independently with limited oversight and collaborate effectively with a small IT team.

• Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks priorities and projects.

• Ability to develop and improve processes procedures checklists and documentation.

• Ability to provide professional support while following Bank policies confidentiality requirements applicable laws regulations and security standards.

• Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online Teams SharePoint OneDrive Intune and Entra ID

• Windows Server Active Directory Group Policy DNS DHCP and endpoint administration

• Firewalls switches VPNs wireless networks VLANs routing and network troubleshooting

• Endpoint protection vulnerability management patching logging and monitoring

• Backup systems disaster recovery and business continuity

• Banking applications vendor-hosted systems and financial institution technology

• PowerShell scripting automation reporting artificial intelligence or other process-improvement tools

• Two or more years of IT experience in systems network Microsoft 365 security and/or IT operations preferred.

• Experience in a bank credit union regulated industry or managed service provider supporting financial institutions strongly preferred.

• Associate or bachelors degree in information technology computer science cybersecurity or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network Security Microsoft Azure Fortinet or Cisco CCNA are helpful but not required.

This position requires professionalism confidentiality sound judgment and a strong commitment to information security. Some travel between Bank locations and occasional after-hours work may be required for maintenance upgrades projects or emergency support. The position may also require lifting carrying or moving technology equipment.
