Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager III to support the AMI 2.0 Technology Integration (TI) program for a large-scale utility modernization initiative. This role will lead end-to-end delivery of technology integration workstreams while managing financial planning budgeting forecasting variance analysis reporting and cross-functional coordination across technical and business teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of project management expertise financial acumen and utility technology experience with the ability to manage multiple workstreams schedules vendors and enterprise stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the AMI 2.0 Technology Integration workstream.
- Prepare and manage project financials including budgeting forecasting variance analysis and expenditure reporting.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans (IPP) project schedules work breakdown structures and resource plans.
- Coordinate project activities across technical and business teams to ensure alignment with milestones and deliverables.
- Track project scope against baseline requirements and support change management processes.
- Document scope changes assess impacts and escalate risks/issues to leadership when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate project and financial documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Identify risks opportunities and corrective actions to support successful program delivery.
- Support procurement activities vendor management and contract negotiations related to technology integration initiatives.
- Communicate technical and financial updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Information Technology or related field.
- 3 years of project management experience with strong exposure to financial planning budgeting forecasting and reporting.
- Experience supporting large enterprise technology initiatives with multiple workstreams and multi-year schedules.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise technology environments.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with expertise in Excel and reporting/dashboard tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks resolve issues and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also leading and coordinating teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience bridging business needs with technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with utility technology programs such as AMI 1.0 AMI 2.0 Grid Modernization or Smart Grid initiatives.
- Familiarity with system integrations including MDMS Head-End Systems OMS SAP and ADMS.
- PMP or CAPM certification.
- Masters degree in Finance Business or related discipline.
- Experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of utility regulatory requirements and financial compliance.
- Strong vendor management and IT contract negotiation experience.
