Job Summary
SYSTEMTECis seeking a IT Project Manager for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia SC. Candidate will lead multiple concurrent IT initiatives from planning and procurement through implementation migration transition and retirement of legacy applications. The role will coordinate technical teams business stakeholders vendors and leadership to ensure projects meet strategic objectives timelines budgets and quality expectations.
Required Qualifications of the IT Project Manager:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- 5 years of experience in IT project management.
- 3 years of experience managing projectsusing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- 3 years of experience with strategic planning and roadmap development.
- 3 years of experience in risk resource and change management.
- 3 years ofexperience with budget planning and project financial oversight.
- Bachelors degree in Business Management Information Technology or a related field; degree must be completed and verifiable.
- PMP PMI-ACP or CSM certification requiredor currently in progress toward obtaining certification.
- Current South Carolina residency is required; relocation is not available.
- Preferred Skills/Experience:Process improvement financial principles accounting principles and mortgage industry knowledge.
Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager:
- Direct the planning execution and delivery of multiple agency-wide IT and business initiatives while managing scope schedules milestones resources and deliverables.
- Apply Agileand Waterfall methodologies and promote adherence to established project management practices and standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams business stakeholders vendors project sponsors and leadership to maintainalignment and resolve issues.
- Lead project meetings and provide timely status reports executive updates projectdocumentation and other required communications.
- Proactively identify risks and challenges develop mitigation strategies and facilitate solutions to keep projects on track.
- Oversee initiativesthrough procurement vendor selection contract negotiation implementation migration archival and retirement of legacy applications.
Work Location: Fully onsite inColumbia South Carolina.
